I am almost finished with the jacket to McCalls 5597. The skirt has been completed for almost two weeks. Just from looking at this pattern
, I originally thought that the neck/collar area was more complicated to work with. But it's not at all. I have taken chunks of time to sew. Tonight might be my chance to complete the jacket. I only have the hems for the jacket & lining, the sleeves and then add a buttonholes & button.

Your suit looks good. My mom and I have the same pattern. However, my mom have been working on hers in her sewing class at Hancock. She had some problems with the lining being to bulky where the jacket folds in the chest. Did you?
