I decided to join the Pattern Review Stash Contest which begins June 1st thru July 31st. It's the first contest I've officially entered and I'm excited to be a part of it! You have to use fabric that has been in your collection by December 31, 2007. So what I've purchased so far this year doesn't count, but I've got plenty to choose from! LOL And you can make anything out of the yardage, i.e., clothing, home dec, accessories and each item has to be reviewed and posted to PR. I think the winners will be the one who has used the oldest fabric from their stash and whomever has used the most yardage. I'm very motivated to sew up some of my fabrics that have been neatly tucked away in bins for awhile! I already started planning a few of the items I want to sew and some are from patterns I've had awhile as well. So this will be interesting. Can't actually start laying out, cutting and sewing until June 1st. In the meantime, I'm working on a couple of other projects which I'll post in a day or two.
My daughters gave me my first dress form for Mother's Day! I just got it yesterday because it had to be special ordered. But you will be seeing pics of my projects on the dress form too once I've set the body measurements properly. Hope everyone has had a great holiday weekend! And the weather was great too!

Like A Photo Shoot! LOL!
Changing clothes like this was something like being in a fashion show! LOL First off, a picture of me wearing the coat! It's still cool enough to wear it! Thanks for all the compliments!
Now this is the dress from S2938 The fabric is
from Fabric Mart (purchased several months ago) This was very easy to make. I like it better on me than on the hanger! I made the jacket from stash fabric. It's gabardine and I figured it would match one of the pink shades in the dress. Both of these pieces were easy to sew and I most likely will make the top from this pattern, which is what this dress was going to become if I didn't like it still. This could be made in a day or if you like staying up late in the sewing room, it could be completed and worn the next day!
This is my daughter Camillia modeling M5481 which was sewn almost at the speed of light because she needed it for an event where she works. She made the slacks the night before the event and I barely got the jacket to her maybe 24 hours before that! Great Job!!
She wore this on Mother's day too.
Next is S3962); worn on Mother's Day. The fabric is a boucle from Fashion Fabrics Club last year. I made this Saturday (the day before). It was easy to sew. The jacket is lined and the skirt I will definitely make again in another type fabric.
As you can see, I still haven't mastered the camera's self-timer without cutting off my head. But that's fine as long as you can see the outfit itself!
Have a great day.
