I hope everyone has been enjoying their long Thanksgiving weekend!
Not much sewing happening this weekend so far, but here is something to share. It is OOP McCalls 4978. It's a wardrobe pattern that has a jacket in two lengths, a top, skirt and pants. The jacket has princess seams, collar and long two-piece sleeves. The skirt is straight with back slit. Both jacket and skirt are lined. I have had this cut out for over a year and one day decided to sew it up! I don't know why I waited so long because it was not difficult at all, LOL. The fabirc is an unknown but I renenber that I did have it awhile before I cut it prior to its aging in a nice folded stack. It looks like a knit that does not stretch. But it will be a warm addition to my wardrobe because tomorrow's forecast calls for snow!

Very nice!!! I have quite a few things cut out that I need to sew together... nothing for as long as a year though! Good for you for getting it done. It looks great!

I don't even want to think about snow... I'm still not adjusted to fall weather!

I must admit that I'll enjoy the snow when I go back east for Christmas, but I love the 70/80 degree weather in San Diego.

That is a great wardrobe addition for sure and a fab color.

What a great suit.

I love it! It looks so fashionable and kind of reminds me of a Jackie-O type of suit. I'd love to see it on you and how you plan to accessorize it with shoes and anything else you might add. A great suit like this can go either way--summer or winter depending on accessories.

Lovely - really like the periwinkle color. I'm a scarf person and can see all the different ways one that would go great with the suit.

Best, Kyra
