Cleaning out the Closet!

Ok, so finally I went to my bedroom closet and started taking things out that I don't wear! I didn't toss everything in the first sweep! LOL, but I'm going back to it again (maybe tonight). I really needed to do this and have procrastinated long enough and it really wasn't that hard to pick what I don't wear any longer (or can't LOL). Since I continue to sew new things, I need a place to put the new clothing and these things were just taking up space. Out with the old, in with the new!

You and me both girl. I've been procrastinating about cleaning out the closet in the sewing room to make room for sewing related stuff. I got the top shelf cleaned off and have now placed my fabric stash on the shelf. That's a start. Now to get rid of some of the clothes I'm not wearing. Let me know how you progress!

You know, I really should do this too. First thing to go--a lovely caribbean blue silk dupioni blouse I bought from JCPenney's about 6 or 7 years ago. That was before I knew more about fit. The top is huge (had to buy a large to fit my bust), the darts hang down at least two inches, and there are a multitude of other fitting issues, really sins, on that top. It's the kind of top that looks great on the hanger, but awful on me.

It is time to give that away along with other items in my closet.

Girl, I started a few weeks ago. I went through the coat closet, then one of the closets in my bedroom. I have donated to the Salvation Army and given a few things to friends. But it seem like a never ending process. And don't mention the fabric stash! OMG! growing, GROWING! lol
